He’s in doubt! He said this morning that he can’t make it to first honor, “Kinakabahan ako,” he mumbled. I asked, “Why do you think so?” He said, “Because someone in class is more intelligent than I am.”
I shrugged my shoulders and said, “It’s okay, there will always be people better than we are. They are there to keep us humble, keep our feet firmly on the ground, and teach us to celebrate the success of others as well.”“Being at the top ten is enough for me,” I reassured him.
Honestly, sobrang sipag niya sa pag-aaral that we seldom see each other. He’s sleeping when I left home and when I arrived, he’s already on the way to school. Konting kumustahan na lang.
Even Saturdays and Sundays, nasa practice or gumagawa ng projects or nasa leadership training. He has to learn to balance everything because his youth may pass him by na puro aral na lang.
In school, on the very second the screen flashed, I saw his name at the top, immediately. He made it again to the first rank in 8 - Aristotle being so consistent since the grade 7. Nagbunga lahat ng pinagpaguran niya araw-araw. I glanced at him and he’s jumping with joy.
So, allow me to give thanks to the Lord Almighty who’s keeping us guided, healthy, and safe each day so that we can do our responsibilities at work and in school as our reasonable service.
Congratulations once again, son.
